HI All.
There´s sometime I dont post something about my projects, in fact, due to personal problems and excessive work, I was not able to work with game dev how I would like to.
In the next days I hope I can release a beta demo of this game, that by now still uses newton physics, including the AI cars, but will be migrated to my own physics system to a official 1.0 release.
The player has the option of practice, qualify or race against 3 AI karts. The Ai algorithm take care of the overtakes, and overtaked ai´s give room to the overtaking one, avoiding crash. Still so, physically implemented AI´s act mush more natural, spinning, having over and under steer, that makes the race look very interesting.
I use my own waypoints system.
There´s a TV camera system, that takes care of overtakes and events, positioning the player where the things happen.
I uploaded a small
Kart Indoor AI Video on youtube, that shows MI AI code progress since the last post. The presence of Fraps to capture the video is not so good to the video itself hehe.
