Half Price Offer - 08/16/06 23:02

Dear Developers,

Our new online distributing system called Wave is nearly complete.
Because of this we want to make you a special offer for licensing the technology for your product.

Normally we’ll take 40$ licensing fee and additional 10% of every sold item.

But now we’re offering it for 20$ licensing fee and just 5% of every sold item.

Distributing via Wave is fast and secure, these things are included in one license:

- Space on our server for a Demo and the Full Version Installer
- Handling of the Distribution
- A Source Development Kit to develop launchers for your products
- Documents and Information about the Wave technology
- Phone and email Support

For more information visit:
http://www.m-tec-development.com/wave/

To register as a general WAVE member:
http://www.m-tec-development.com/register/
or via the WAVE Client, which you can download at http://www.m-tec-development.com/wave/download and select Beta 2.

Best regards
M TEC Development

Possibly too many of these clients are popping up without challenging Steam in any real sense.

Plus, theres not that many finished products lying around here for which people would desire such a system, nor do they see it as something a consumer will seek out to download without a killer app. Releasing one of these things is a bit like releasing a games console.

But hey, people should still give it a try if the mood catches them.

Re: Half Price Offer - 08/19/06 17:18

I wanted to try, but it donŽt accepts my 2 email adresses?

XXX@msn.com
XXX@gmx.net

Steam was needed to play HlČ and CS:S and many more things. So the people had to install it. The idea to have such a system for indees is great, but I donŽt think this will get poppular.

And you should make a offer like 'the first 8 games will get a free selling accont on WAVE'

Hmm regarding your email problem, what error occurs?
Please send a screenshot to:
andrew.ext.ceo@m-tec-development.com

And the idea about the first 8 games will get a free selling account is not a bad idea.
We shall consider this

Is this error if you register via the online registration or via the WAVE Client?

Re: Half Price Offer - 08/19/06 19:24

We tested the registration again with several differnt mail addresses and providers, everything worked perfect. I also don't think that there is a problem with your mail address. Because, the error messages in the current beta are a bit unclear and often handle many problems, it probably failed to send the mail for some reason.

Since there's also no account created with one of your mails (the account is created before sending the mail), you can try to restart the Wave Client and try to create an account again. If it still not works, there are 3 possible problems:

A. Internet Not Active (Please check this)
B. Internet Too Slow (We successfully tested WAVE with 56k connections)
C. Internet Not detected (If so, we can do nothing against it, so lets hope it is not this here)

(D. Any other unknown problem with the connection)

I'm very sure that it is a problem with the Connection, since, as I said, the error messages are very unclear at the moment and a not existing connection is not noticed yet , the first function which would notice is the mail sending function.

Ah, yes, what port is WAVE using? My firewall could blocked it.

You could post that to some magazins, to get it more poppular. And conitec could sell A6 with it, too.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know what ports are used, since that part is handled by the .NET Framework and the MySql Api.

Re: Half Price Offer - 08/26/06 03:29

@MrBloodline: You may try Port Number "3389" and "55521" , if it does not work, please tell me.

Also we decided, that the first 5 developers contacting us for a license will get one for free, this offer is exclusive for this engine

best regards
