no... it´s my engine...
i can deform terrain, smooth it, paint, place objects, paint grass e vegetation, sounds, AI , rotate, move, scale, modeling vertices.. and go on...

spheresoft is my softhouse company

yep, just look at the screens they say "gamestudio trial version". so it looks like this is some kind of editor + shaders with gamestudio as basis.

looks nice so far, but we have seen this very often and have yet to see a game looking like this made with gamestudio. so good luck

this actually lookes better than the tropical forests is far cry (or at least compared to the way far cry was displayed on my pc back then )

This proves right there why people are worried about 3dgs giving a bad stigma to a game

no, it just proves that they want only 3DGS stuff in showcase 1 of the 3DGS Forum


and now to dispell all fears that it's giving 3DGS a bad name: yep, it is 3DGS look at the framerate in each level, pretty low....

Very nice levels! Is it just a 2 man team, that's what it looked like from the websites names on it and everything. Please keep up the work, and definitely keep us posted on the project!! Very neat and graphics are very good too!

hi guys... its my english fails...
this is my tools developed in 3dgs to help me with the game i call it "engine"...
FPS is to low cause my video card is low end card, and the grass are to heavy

i´m modeling caracters, i´m trying to put a demo in 1 or 2 weeks, with the level editor...

the game are developed by me, and a help of my girlfried with textures and story...

Interesting! I would like to know how to achieve such effects using a low-end video card, especially the bloom and water shaders!

my video card is radeon 1300 agp
but with no grass the FPS in my video card its about 40/50

textures...
terrain, plants and tree 1024x1024

terrain vertices 200x200

You should implement LOD, if your Models are so hardware hungry.

yes... i forgot to say the screenshofts original are in 1024x768 in window mode and using sylex bloom... using sylex i lost 6 fps more or less...

i will implement LOD... but at the moment i´m fixing bugs e implement new functions...

i find the problem that causes Low FPS...

i put 20 trees on the scene its about 20/30 fps with normalmapping and specular (shaders by Taco Cohen)

and i put another shader (bump mapping) and the FPS 40/50

...

yes.. i only owns the A5 version, i have no money at the moment to update or buy another version, i´m waiting to get more money to buy a A7 Pro version, i´m looking foward to use postscreen shaders shadows and others effects don´t work in trial...

thks.. in few weeks i´ll put a demo here...

hi...i have problems with physics.. the problem is the dynamic objects (created with ent_create() ) the physics don´t work and in my project all objects are created in real-time...
can anyone help-me please?

This is because the engine does not support dynamics until commercial. You have to use newton or other 3rd party physics engine.

Each A7 Edition supports physics!

thks very much...

when i put the model in wed and build map...
physics work perfectly, but when a model is created using ent_create... physics doesnt work...

i tested newton but i have problems with terrain...
newton physics only works with MDL models and not with HMP...

correct me if i´m wrong...

is bugfix and new functions...

but you can see in the screenshots
fps increase... and now i´m working with AI...

It's looking very cool, actually it surprises me a lot how similar it looks to XeXes latest Sylex3 editor screens back in the days of the Sunset Down project, pretty cool stuff!!

i will try to explain it in english.. if you dont understand you ask me..

i create a target that follow the mouse pointer when i click create the point_dummy in the mouse position...
and i create 22 points.. the shore model has 22 vertices
i get the pos of these points_dummy and i create a shore and deform it...
after i save shore position in a database or a txt file...

thks...i´m working very hard... i´m converting my project from c-script to lite-c...so i have no updates... and terrain now is a MDL file, cause i want to try newton physics but it doesnt works with HMP models...

i forgot to say.. can anyone help me with mdl exporters.. idont want to save the terrain coords in file.txt i want to export to a new model.mdl deformed yet

like in ICEX

i see MDL SDK but i have no idea to start to build a plugin...
