Am I the only one who feels I have to wrestle the level editor to get the results I want?

why is it so hard to get the textures to stay in place ?
I fix up the level all textures in place "good good" then I build "ARG TEXTURES EVERY WHERE !" they fall out of center or worse..

I can't seem to get this down to an exact science, i realign to grid .. some times this works. some times I need to lock the texture .. other times again the object that I wan't textured can't be in that spot at all! -- why can't this be simple and easy like in the level editor for half life ? when I set a texture there it sticks ..

Is it something i'm doing wrong !? or is this commen ?

I am not having texture problems,
but I had a couple of other problems
with WED (my terrain culls too easily,
having to re-load because a zoom-in object
causes everything else to disapear).

I like a dedicated world editor,
but what I might do is use Blender for
my object placement (FBX import), and use WED
for everything else (lightmapping, shaders, publishing,
etc.)

I have had similar problems to the point where I getting really upset about it. My symptoms have been exactly as you describe. Locking textures helps to some degree, but they do seem to move around anyway.

No it is not common but every once and a while people have this or related problems with texture lock.
There is a thread in the bug report discussing this.
