melee attacks

Dear folks,

maby this question has been asked before, but my forum search came to no results, so...

Is there a way to use the templates do make an enemy perform a melee attack (making him use the walk animation until he bumps into the player and THAN switch to the attack animation and cause damage?)

An melee attack in the templates (AI ork fps..?) would be an awesome add on

You can use the swordfighting code in AUM12, which I think was redone in the Morrowing series (47 if I had to guess, but somewhere near there if I'm wrong). Also I think AUM66 or 65 did it again. I just used the code as the basis for my stuff.

I really need a melee+ shooting code. Just think about a zombie game. The dog attack is fine but I don't like the final effect. The sword code is a little better but can it works with A6\7 ? And how to add the shooting option?
I was wainting about the Intense Ai but Lerry disappeared again..
