Reduce size of Gamestudio "updates" - 03/08/08 19:20

Dear conitec-staff,
is there any reason why the update-policy kind of change with the introduction of A7?
In former times I as a user had only to download around 10-15 mb of updatefiles.
Now I need to download the whole trial-setup to update from A7.06 to A7.07 (more than 50mb)
I know today everybody has super-fast-broadband internet connections and harddisk space is cheaper than ever, but for me it is still quite not-understandable.

How about extracting the the prefabs (at least) from the setup-file and put them into a stand-alone zip-file (e.g.)?

Thanks for your time reading this.

edit:
Or is there an easier way to update only the engine files?

Many users have problems to unzip files into the programs folder under Vista, so we'd need an installer anyway. A separate update installer could reduce the file size by maybe 20%..30%. But that's not worth the hassle.
